
Rob Lewis is a British composer who trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Sussex University.
His numerous film and television credits include Macbeth (starring Shaq B. Grant), Hulu’s Dead Asleep (directed by Skye Borgman), augmented reality film The Last Light (by Magic Leap), Reappear (starring Ellise Chappell) and Rite Of Passage (directed by Iggy London).
As a professional cellist, Rob has performed at venues ranging from The Royal Albert Hall in London, to The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. Collaborations include Baz Luhrmann, BAFTA winner David Holmes, Noel Gallagher and rapper Dave, to name a few.
He is known for his creative use of strings in his scores, on which he plays cello, piano and synthesizers. Rob aims to find a unique voice for each project, to create inspiring, energetic and emotive scores.
His use of a loop pedal with strings laid the foundation for his critically acclaimed albums; ‘Momentum’, premiered by Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC Radio 6 and ’98’, a commission by Google.
Rob is part of the 2022 BAFTA talent Programme.
