Commissioned by The Glendronach distillery, Rob travelled to their historic site near Aberdeen to capture the soul of the space in sound. Sampling the distillery’s unique machinery, ambience, and acoustic reverberations, he wove these textures into an original composition inspired by the whisky’s depth and heritage. The result, Valley of the Brambles, blends field recordings, orchestration, and subtle Spanish influences to create a piece that reflects both the craftsmanship of Glendronach and the landscape that shapes it.
